Appliance Repair Apprentice — No Experience Required

What you'll do
- Ride along with senior technicians 4 days per week — observe, assist, learn
- Carry tools, retrieve parts from truck, document before/after photos
- Begin performing basic repairs under supervision after 60 days
- Complete TDLR registration and EPA 608 certification within first 90 days (we pay)
- Attend weekly training sessions and factory certifications
- Maintain a clean driving record — you'll be driving company vehicles
- Demonstrate growing competency on diagnostic checklist quarter over quarter
What we're looking for
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Texas driver license with clean record (last 3 years) — required to drive company vehicles
- Mechanical aptitude — have you fixed things around the house? Worked on your car? Built computers? Tell us about it
- Customer-service mindset — you'll be in customers' homes from Day 1
- Pass background check and drug screen
- Physical: able to lift 50 lbs, kneel, crouch, climb stairs with tools
- Smartphone with data plan
Nice to have
- Trade school or vocational training in HVAC, electrical, or mechanics
- Military experience (HVAC, refrigeration, electrical MOS)
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Prior experience as a delivery driver, handyman, or maintenance worker
- Appliance-adjacent experience (Refrigeration tech helper, HVAC helper, property maintenance)

- $18–$22 per hour — we pay you to learn
- We pay for: TDLR registration ($150), EPA 608 certification ($200), initial factory training ($500+)
- Tool allowance: $500 to start, $500 more at 6 months, $500 more at 12 months

Hiring process

- 2In-person interview + technical assessment — 90 minutes.
- 3Ride-along with a senior technician for half a day — paid at $25/hr.
- 4Background check and drug screen — 3–5 business days.
- 5Offer letter and start date — typically within 7–10 business days of applying.
